Certificates of deposit (CDs)
Index Asset Trading Certificates of deposit are fixed income investments that naturally pay a set interest rate over a fixed time. We offer our investors brokered CDs that have FDIC-insured principal protection and a flexible range of maturities. The CDs are usually issued by banks for customers of brokerage firms in large denominations. The brokerage firm divides these CDs into smaller denominations for its clients. Because the deposits are obligations of the issuing bank, and not the brokerage firm, FDIC insurance applies.
